As the Head of Portfolio Management, Kent is responsible for overseeing all functions of the investment process related to asset allocation and implementation for clients.

Kent was a partner at Tiedemann Advisors and served as Chief Investment Officer (2017-2022) and Director of Research (2012-2017). Prior to joining Tiedemann in 2004, Kent worked as a fixed-income specialist with Millennium Partners LP, a New York-based hedge fund. Kent’s responsibilities included financing high-grade and high-yield fixed-income portfolios, portfolio risk reporting, and various other aspects of Millennium’s daily business operations. Kent also served as a client representative at MFS Investment Management in Boston, Massachusetts.

Kent is a Chartered Financial Analyst and earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He currently serves as a board member of the UNC Health Foundation and its finance and investment sub-committee.
